vw campervans
Well, where do you start when talking about restoring VW Campers?
They are design icons and great vehicles to own. Unfortunately, most of them seem to have been 'got at' before we get to see them. They are relatively simple to repair, as long as there is no previous skulduggery to contend with.

VW Camper T2 bay window
This bay window VW Camper came to us for an investigation into badly fitting panels and a few rust bubbles appearing through the paintwork.
We had a bit of a poke around and discovered some rather sub standard repairs which had manifested themselves into the problems the owner was worried about.
We managed to source an early type side loading door, which thankfully required minimal repairs. All problem areas were repaired, new door rubbers were fitted and the whole van was given a nice new coat of orange paint.

vw camper t2 split screen
This RHD 21 window Samba camper was rescued from a barn where it had been lying dormant for 7 years. As you can see it is in a bit of a sorry state. Nearly ever panel and chassis member was replaced or repaired, quite a mammoth task!
The first thing we did after getting it back to the workshop was construct a large measuring surface so we could check all the dimensions. After many hours armed with a tape measure and ruler it all now seems to be as VW intended it to be.
Now came the fun bit, cutting all the old panels off and replacing them with Autocraft Engineerings' finest offerings.
