Talbot Sunbeam Lotus
This Talbot Sunbeam Lotus arrived as a stripped shell. The plan is to have it acid dipped and assess the work required once it gets back to our workshop. The owner has some interesting plans for it.
This Sunbeam Lotus came to us for the final part of its body shell restoration. New rear panel, front panels, sills, arches etc. It should make a good, strong, straight car when its finished.
This Sunbeam Lotus body shell came to us for a bit of rectification work and some competition biased modifications. It will eventually be a track day spec car with the facility to still use it as a comfortable (ish..) road car.
Autumn 2016 we have started the build; 2.5 Lotus with Jenveys, sequential 'box, big AP brakes, aircraft spec wiring harness, all hidden away to look like a standard road car, should be fun...!
This Sunbeam Lotus body shell arrived fresh from a dip at Enviro-Strip in Tamworth; it will eventually be built up as a circuit orientated car.
This Sunbeam Lotus rally car, came to us for a bit of rectification work on the bodywork and a brief to make the shell weather tight by building up the doors, fitting the glass etc.
Spring 2017
This nice example of a Sunbeam Lotus has been booked in for a few jobs towards the end of the year.

The best laid plans and all that......
Unfortunately we unearthed some proper horrors once the car was stripped back.
It all worked out well in the end though. Thanks for your patience Alan!

DAC registered Sunbeam Lotus
We have a DAC registered Sunbeam arriving soon for a full restoration and rebuild back into a road car
Summer 2023. The bodyshell was shipped off to SPL for an acid dip so we could see the extent of the corrosion and/or damage. A new roof is in stock so we can rid it of its 1980s glass sunroof.
The usual 1980's shoddy repairs were quite evident once the paint/filler had been removed.
Lots of work to do!

I couldn't resist having a closer look at the rear panel repair. Lovely job....
Start at the front and work back, seems to be the only way....
The usual epic job of changing the inner and outer sills. Along with the A post repair, rear quarter, floor section and jacking box.
New rear inner and outer arch section grafted in along with many small niggly repairs to the inner arches and inner structures.
New boot floor welded in and back panels in place ready for final welding once we have the tailgate glass, locks, lights, bumper etc to check the gaps.
All there is left, is everything else...
