This MG ZR rally body shell derived from a tired old example plucked from the breakers yard. After it was paint stripped at Enviro-Strip in Tamworth, we discovered a rather hideous repair from a previous accident.
A replacement rear quarter and a new inner wheel arch were grafted in; we could then set about transforming it into a rally car body shell. It was de-bracketed, seam welded, new seat tubes fitted, sill jacking points, sump guard bosses and a reinforcing kit fitted to the chassis, all un-wanted holes were blanked off. And the all important FIA T45 roll cage was then installed.
The shell was then given a quick shot-blast to key the metal prior to its paint job. Grey inside and underneath and Coca Cola red on the outside. It was then shipped off to its owner Adam ready for the job of re-shelling his old rally car.

This MG ZR bodyshell was built as Matt Beebe's new British Tarmac Rally Championship car for the 2012 season.
We fitted a chassis strengthening kit, sill jacking points, seat tubes, sump and tank guard mounts and a multi-point MG Sport roll cage; along with seam welding and blanking the various unwanted holes in the bodyshell.
