Classic Mini Cooper Mk1
This sad looking specimen arrived as a partly stripped rolling shell. We completed the strip and sent it off to SPL for an acid dip. The brief was to replace any rusted and damaged panels; followed by seam welding, strengthening and fitting of a 6 point bolt in roll cage.
There were not many photos taken of this project as we were moving workshops at the time. From Wales to Coventry then Nuneaton! This is the last we saw of it; in storage at its owners awaiting paint.
This partially restored car arrived as a relatively rust free example of a Mk1 Mini Cooper. We were instructed to turn it into a rally car for a local customer. We fitted all the new panels that were supplied and also fitted a 6 point roll cage. It was then returned to the customer for painting and final fitting up. It has since made its début on a rally in the UK. ( 2013 )
